Yesterday was my last day, for now, with Trane. I have mixed emotions about it. It’s obviously going to be nice to not have any tasks to complete, and no looming deadlines. but I’m going to miss working with the team. I’ve had daily interaction with my coworkers for almost 2 years.
I’m humbled by the support that I received from my managers Jeff and Adam. It’s one thing to support a coworker when they are working hard and generating revenue. Any good manager does that. It’s another thing altogether to support an employee when they are deciding to go on leave and disrupt the business in the process. But that’s exactly what Jeff and Adam did for me. I was told directly, “if there is a problem at work, we’ll fix it, if you want a different job, you can have it, if you want a job in another office, I’ll help support that transition, and if you need to do this hike, we’ll bring you on when you’re ready to come back.” So if you’re reading this, thank you again.
