Fontana Dam Lodge Night 1

Day 16, Friday, 4/1 – I hiked 5 miles to Fontana Dam which is at mile 164. We pulled up to the marina, which is right on trail and resupplied food. The marina was handing out free popsicles to thru hikers. There was a lot of disagreement as to the best flavor freeze pop. Its obviously green.

We all got a shuttle to the lodge where we will stay for 2 nights. It’s Sprite, Parkour, Jetpack, Willow, Axe Hole, Genie, Liz, Birthday Sandwich, and myself all staying at the lodge together.

We all got a huge lunch, I took a shower, did my laundry, and planned for the Smokies.
