Day 93, Friday, 6/17 – Half Time, Dog Fish, Genie, Splitzy, Birthday, and I all got a shuttle from Eddy back to the trail at about 9:00am. We were all feeling sluggish, so we didn’t start hiking for a while. I sat around with Genie and Splitzy and ate as many vegetables as I could before I started the hike.
My temporary shoe repair job was unsuccessful. The adhesive did not bind to the sole of the shoe. I had to cut tread off as I hiked so it wasn’t dragging on the ground. I’ve submit a warranty request with the shoe manufacturer, but I’ll likely have to buy a new pair of shoes at my first opportunity. It looks like I’ll have to go another 70 miles to Delaware Water Gap on my current shoes.

Except for Dog Fish, we were all really dragging today. We just didn’t have our head in the game. On our way to the shelter, Dog Fish experienced a knee pop that was accompanied by a lot of pain. We decided to set up camp at the nearest tent-site, which was a half mile away from where her injury occurred (13 miles to mile 1233).
