Day 120, Thursday, 7/14 – I hiked out with Aqua this morning. We slept in a bit considering how late we got in the night before. We hiked out around 8:30am.
The highlight of the hike was the hike past a beaver pond. We got to see a beaver swimming around, which I hadn’t seen on trail yet.
We stopped for a late lunch at a shelter around 2:00pm. SIS, Strange Brew, and Gandalf were all at the shelter with us.
Aqua and I finished the day with a steep descent to Route 9, followed by a steep ascent back to the ridge. Aqua is meeting with her family tomorrow, so she wanted to push a bit more miles to make her hike easier tomorrow.
I hiked 15 miles to Melville Nauheim Shelter (Mile 1616). I ate dinner and am hammock camping with Gandalf and Joe.
