Day 121, Friday, 7/15 – I woke up and wasn’t all that hungry, so I ate a protein bar and started hiking around 7:30am. The weather has been perfect lately. I haven’t been sweating nearly as bad as I was in New York. Vermont has been beautiful too, there are a lot of pine trees here.
I hiked to the top of Glastenbury Mountain, and ate an early lunch at the shelter. Strange Brew, SIS, and Gandalf all rolled in as I was eating. I then climbed the fire tower at the top of the mountain. There was a great 360 degree view from the top of the tower.

Some good news.. Dog Fish decided to drive all the way out from Las Vegas to support us for the next month or so. I think this is a real neat way to be a part of the AT experience given that an injury cut her hike short.
I got a call from Half Time today. He was taking a nero in Manchester Vermont, and was with Dog Fish. Since Dog Fish has a car, they both wanted to meet up. The next road was a far way off, so I planned on meeting them in the evening around dinner time.

It turns out that I made an aggressive deadline. I was hustling to make in on time, and the trail was not as smooth as I was hoping it would be.
I got to the road crossing, and waited for Dog Fish and Half Time to arrive. It was great to see them roll up! We pulled out some chairs and hung out in the parking lot. Dog Fish made me a dehydrated backpacker meal and stocked me up with some food resupply! She’s an awesome human.

We hung out for a while, so it was getting late. I’m without a functional head lamp, so I needed to setup before it got dark. I hiked on at 7:45pm, and went another 2 miles before finding a stealth spot along side the trail.
I hiked 23 miles, and ended the day at mile 1639. I quickly set up camp and got into my hammock with the little light that I had left.
