Day 132, Tuesday, 7/26 – I woke up at 2:30am, freezing cold. I put on my fleece and puffy jacket, and somehow I was still cold. I think my gear got slightly wet during the rain last night.
I must have fallen back asleep, because my alarm clock woke me up at 5:15am. Aqua and I wanted to get to the post office, which was 16 miles away, and it closed at 2:00pm. We started hiking at 6:00am.
We were cruising today. We had some steep climbs, but the hiking went quick. It helped to have some external motivation.

We hiked the 16 miles to the road, and got there at 1:00pm. We stopped into Hikers Welcome Hostel first so Aqua could pick up a package. We then headed across the street to the post office to mail off some items. We then headed back to Hikers Welcome Hostel to hang out.

I spent the afternoon charging my electronics, resupplying food, and relaxing. I watched the movie Rat Race, and a few episodes of Arrested Development.
Queen Diva stopped in and brought homemade chili. Then a few other hikers got the grill going and cooked up some hotdogs and hamburgers for everyone at the campsite.
Around 7:00pm, Genie, Splitzy, Birthday, Aqua, and I got back on trail. We hiked to Jeffers Brook and set up camp (Mile 1796). We are officially in the White Mountains, and have some tough climbs ahead of us.
