East Carry Pond

Day 152, Monday, 8/15 – We started our hike this morning with a small climb up Little Bigelow Mountain. We took a short break and took in some nice views from the ledges.

We then hiked down off the Bigelows to some cruisy trail. We had a pretty social day and played Contact as we hiked along. We discussed logistics for getting home after finishing the hike, and reminisced quite a bit about the past 5 months.

We ate a late lunch at a shelter, then hiked on to East Carry Pond (Mile 2033). We stopped at 5:30pm. I got a fire going, Genie made a sketch of the lakeshore, Splitzy repaired a hole in her shorts, and Birthday relaxed on a nice lookout rock. We all ate dinner together and I was in my hammock at 8:15pm.
